Helping Hands for Hannah - Urban Kai Farms
We are needing more helpers this summer, having doubled our produce production. We need Helping hands for Hannah! So we are shaping an internship program that we would love to codesign with our community.
If you have time over summer, and are keen to extend your knowledge, work alongside Hannah, and help us bring home the harvest to our community, we would love to hear from you.
Tasks will include:
build compost, seed sowing / raising, irrigation set up and management
harvesting produce and washing (key preparation for our chefs to turn this into beautiful meals)
Distribution of excess produce (during January)
Material collection (i.e. carbon material for compost and bed building, mulch)
Time Commitment: From Dec 2020 - March 2021 (with a break 18/12 - Mid Jan), 15-20 hours/week
Applications due: 4 December
What you’ll receive:
Grow your gardening knowledge, hands-on experiences
Working and learning alongside Hannah
Some expenses that are incurred as part of your commitment (on a person-by-person basis).
The positions are unpaid - we can offer a reconditioned bike, staff lunches and excess veges when available.
