ReCycled Rides
ReCycled Rides Community Bike Kitchen (workshop, shop and library)
Saturdays 10 am- 12pm
Based at The ReMakery – exploring the world!
ReCycled Rides is a community bike library offering rescued, fixed-up bikes to Epuni and the wider Hutt Valley community.
Our bike space runs on Saturdays with sales and service support from 10am till 12pm. Pop in and see us then if you need a bike fixed, or wish to purchase one.
Most excitingly, our bike space has been changed up into a community bike kitchen where the focus is now to run sessions for people to repair, build and take home, their own bike.
Recycled Rides Head Bike Hocho - Jago
Jago repairs cheaply, supports others learning to bike fix and refurbs bikes to give them a new life.
Help us (volunteer)
If you'd like to volunteer your bike skills into this project - we'd love to hear from you.
Build a Bike sessions - on hold
These sessions will run over 3 consecutive Saturdays. You will learn to repair and maintain a bike. You will get one back on the road for someone else in the community- and you will fix your own to take home.
Our aim is to build the capacity of our bike repairs and our community with the hope that as people finish this course they can give hours back into helping others learn and get more bikes out on the road.
We are excited and heartened to offer this for free. Thanks to support from Hutt City Council and those that purchase our refurbished bikes.
Please watch out for our Build a Bike events - limited places to begin.
Together we Ride.
Recycled Rides History
ReCycled Rides takes bikes destined for landfill and refurbishes them for loan to anyone in the community who wants to ride a bike! In exchange, borrowers are encouraged to koha an hour of their time to any of our projects at The ReMakery. Or perhaps you have some other skills to share? We recognise that everyone has something to offer in return for the loan of a bike.
We’ve built a bike track with our friends at Epuni Primary School for the free use of our community, and in school holidays we explore our neighbourhood on whānau bike rides.
Please join us! Together, we ride.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We welcome donations of bikes of all sizes, so long as they are in good working condition.
If you are unsure, please contact us to discuss our currents needs and the suitability of any bikes you’d like to donate. Good quality helmets and accessories are also welcome.
