Bandana bibs and baby burp cloths

  • The ReMakery 310 Waiwhetu Road Lower Hutt, Wellington, 5011 New Zealand (map)

What you need

Buy new, bring fabric to repurpose, or use our koha fabrics*. Whatever you choose, this is what you need:

  • 0.3 of a metre of quilting cotton or flannelette

  • 0.3 of a metre of either towelling (or a towel), micro-fleece or polar-fleece.
  • Cotton matched to your fabrics.
  • The ReMakery will provide plastic snaps that you will attach and use to secure your bibs.

Materials you could repurpose

Try flannel sheets for the outer (flannel is great for absorbing dribble!) and combine it with old towels or polar fleece for the backing. If you have time, browse your local secondhand shops – they often have fabric bundles for sale.

*Koha fabrics

We have a range of fabrics and cottons available for you to use. It's ready and waiting for new life! Hand-picked for your workshop, it will available on the day for koha/donation (suggested $2-$5).

Book this workshop by emailing rochelle.browne@cupa.org.nz
