Fund Our Whānau
Will you become a Common Unity Champion this Christmas?
At Common Unity, it truly takes a village. The heart of our village is our whānau - the beautiful people who care for our gardens, harvest vegetables, share their skills, balance the books, cook delicious meals, make the coffee, and keep the lights on.
Funds raised will go to support our people - what we call ‘celery ops.’ (We can’t resist a gardening pun around here!) We reckon it’s a perfect summary. Celery may not be the fanciest vegetable, but it’s the foundation of a lot of tasty meals. And so it goes for our people - it’s not too difficult to find funding for shiny new projects, but it’s harder to fund the people who make those things happen between the heartwarming photo ops.
So we’re turning to you, our community, to help us make sure we can keep our whānau going all year round.
Donation levels: What type of Common Unity Champion do you want to be?
$5 - Gift a Meal to a community member in need.
$10 - Nurture a Seedling to grow delicious produce for our community.
$20 - Give a Poo to keep our soil and gardens healthy and thriving.
$30 - Fix a Bike to reduce what we send to landfill and help someone get around town.
$50 - Bake a Cake to celebrate a special occasion with a friend.
$100 - Feed a School a nutritious and delicious lunch.
$250 - Build a Hive to provide new homes for bees and sweet treats for people.
$500 - Make a Friend and connect with loved ones over fresh, seasonal food in our Cafe.
Regular donations - from $5 to $100 or more per week, month, or quarter - help us plan for the year ahead, get through lean times, respond to emergencies, and scale up when things get busy. Consider spreading your donation out across the year on a timeline that works for you. Common Unity is a registered charity and all donations are tax deductible.
Every little bit helps!
Together, we grow.

Note: In order to provide our supporters with an option to give regularly, we are using a platform called Custom Donations. They support non-profits by only charging a 1.5% fee on donations. You can choose to cover this cost in your donation so your full donation goes to Common Unity, or you can opt out and Common Unity will pay this fee.
